Matches are played on Monday evenings starting at 20:30
Matches comprise of 10 singles frames split into 2 groups of 5 frames
Players cannot play 2 consecutive frames nor more than once in a 5 frameset
All games must be played in a sportsmanlike manner and throwing/undoing cue is a forfeit of
frame
Balls must be racked up for the first frame at 20:30 if the opposing team has not turned up then the first frame can be claimed. Further more the match can be claimed 6-0 at 20:45 if a minimum of 3 players are not in attendance. Match Forfeit will be applied regardless of whether the match has started or not (as per 2.3 below)
Minimum Player Age Requirement
Players must be at least 14 years of age to participate in the Northampton Open Pool League. A player who has not reached their 14th birthday is not eligible to register or play in any league fixture.
Players may only participate where they are permitted to enter and remain on the premises in accordance with the venue's admission policies and licensing conditions.
It is the team captain's responsibility to confirm with the venue, in advance of the scheduled fixture, that all players meet the venue's age and admission requirements. If a player is unable to participate due to the venue's restrictions and this leaves the team unable to fulfil the fixture, any resulting forfeit should be notified as early as possible, with 24 hours' notice requested wherever practicable.
Captains cannot change their own or the opposition players’ names or playing order after submission without the opposing captain’s prior consent.
If a card needs rewriting for any reason, both captains must rewrite their respective team's details clearly and in coordination with each other.

A player may transfer to another team during the season, even if they have already participated in the current season, subject to the following conditions:
A player must not transfer to a team competing in the same division as their current team.
No transfers are permitted after the midpoint of the season.
A player may transfer only once per season.
The player must be formally registered prior to playing for the new team, either by being marked as “NP” on the match card or by directly notifying the League Administrator.
Match Fulfilment: If a scheduled match cannot be played, one of the following options may be used:
Switch the venue (if in first half of the season, the return leg must also be switched)
Play at neutral venue
Forfeit the match (The non forfeiting captain must submit a result as per 2.3 below). Northampton Open Pool league encourage teams to give more than 24 hours notice as a courtesy, this also reduces wasted food at the home venue.
Results
Results submission
Both captains should take a clear photo of the result card after signing for evidence purposes.
A photo of the card should be sent via Facebook Messenger or email (See contacts
page)
It is the winning captains responsibility to send in the result.
In the event of a draw we suggest both captains send a photo of the card.
In the event of a match not going ahead due to opponent not showing up, please submit a 6-0
result.
Result cards must not be altered after they have been signed.
If a match is not completed and you do not intend to sign the card, it's strongly recommended that you take a photo of the card at that point.
Captains should only sign the card if
All frames have a score recorded next to them.
The totals are completed.
The result is complete and complies with the rules.
Late Results
A result is considered "late" 20:30 the following Monday
A void will occur and score of 5-5 will be automatically assigned with no points awarded
Forfeit
A match is forfeit on receipt on a 6-0 entered card.
Non forfeiting team will be awarded 2 points and 6 legs
Incorrectly filed cards will be void result
Points are awarded as follows, 2 for a win and 1 for a draw
